Hi,
I have the same problem mother cat and four kittens appeared in my garden at the end of May. I have tried all the cat rescue organisations that I can find. I have also phoned two vets and can't get any help with them as we were going on holiday a couple of days later. I was told by the RSPCA to leave them and mother cat would look after them. Before we went on holiday the could be picked up but 10 days later became spitty, hissy little things.
The mother cat kept attacking my cat, which resulted in a large vet bill when she was bitten. I can't let her out in the garden and can't leave the back door open in this heat because they might come.
The mother cat has now gone and I am left with these litte terrors in my garden. I feel so sorry for them but cant find any one to take them and it won't be long before they have kittens.
Regards,

Yes, mentioned an experience of this in an earlier post in this thread. Think there's a window of opportunity in which to tame them. Sure it varies really, but I took in feral kittens at 4 weeks and took a week to tame and they went from hissy, growly little things and became like teddy-bears who loved having their bellies rubbed. A friend took in at 6 weeks and never properly tamed. No idea how bad your visitors are but really your best hope is to try to tame them by getting them feel comfortable with you.0 -

Please, please do keep us posted on this little family, especially Black Magic:) Am keeping fingers crossed for him in particular.0 -
Thanks pink panther If I was not going on holiday I could have kept them quite tame as my son would go and pick them up when the mum was not about. But now they are clocking four months old, but they are getting better when I open my patio doors they all come running thinking I am going to feed them. I do feed them scraps but nothing bad for them I could not afford to give them pouches etc. They come within a couple of feet from me and sit quite near when I am hanging washing out but if I go to close they hiss.
I did offer to try and tame them with one organisation thought it was all sorted and then got the reply we don't do your area as everyone else has said but one of the places was only about five miles away.

Angie0
