Can o2 cpw transfer a contract to o2 payg?

Contract is almost coming to and end, but was wondering whether I could transfer my number to a o2 payg or do I have to request a pac and transfer it to payg on another network? Need to keep my number, as I look around for a better contract.
If not o2 payg, then is there a network that allows porting into and porting out without charges once I find a suitable contract?

just tell them you want to move onto PAYG and they will sort it all out for (and offer you something i would have thought!)0

I did ask them, its the same process. I have to get a PAC from them and then transfer that to the payg.
Does any network allow porting and out without charges? If so, then I can transfer my old number to that network?
And also, can I transfer from o2 cpw to o2 direct payg?0
