Thank you so much KK. I love the name Liz's scissors! I think a logo that can be reproduced in black and coulor would be a great idea. She will so excited to have her own logo!

Slightly off topic but she needs to check her contract at the new place before making any plans. It isn't uncommon for salons to put in contracts that should they work for them that they are not allowed to work within a 15-20 mile radius of the salon either during or after their placement.

The main reason is that if while she is working there she will be competition for the salon and could start telling salon customers that she does the same thing as a mobile on such a day for less and easily take customers away from the salon. They also use that condition for when they leave so that they don't go contacting customers and poaching them from the salon.

People do travel to get their hair cut by the same person, I am sure that some of her existing customers at her current place will follow her to the new place or become home visit customers. I should know the same woman has been cutting my hair for the past 19 years even though she has worked at 4 different salons, went mobile for a short time and is now back in the 4th place she worked at again.

    Thanks Littlejohn

I am not sure this would apply as she will be working in a male grooming salon and she will mostly be working on women while mobile, she will also be on a rent-a-chair basis therefore is self employed? Its a very good point though and one that does need looking into.

She does have regular customers where she is at now and they have taken her mobile number as they like her and are used to her, I know its not really right but they just want the consistancy of having her cut their hair.

Well it's a good pun as long as nobody knew the origin of the term "scissor sisters", some people may find it a bit too rude.

He may as well have had a logo designed to randomly bonk you over the head with a hammer. That is pretty much the definition of really bad design, it not only looks awful but has actual serious health implications for those with epilepsy.

Have a look on Vistaprint they do free logos s that you can have on your business cards. Some people say they look naff but I didn't go for the free ones I went for the premium ones. There isn't any differene on the quality between them except for the free ones have on the back 'printed free by vistaprint'.

My own hairdresser has some of here and she uses the free ones.
