Wait till you've worked on that hamster wheel for 45 years. Then you'll have something to moan about :p

    Dear op,

I just like to make a comment stating you shouldn't be moaning as you got a Job, I am currently on Jobseekers so count you're self lucky and stop moaning !!!

At least it pays you're bills and keep a roof over your head! without a job and benefits (I know you are not on benefits) you would be homeless so I have no idea why you said you wish you didn't have a job.

I am in a 1 bedroom flat and I moved in January 2012 and I have been on JSA for neally 2 years now and its boring everyday nothing to do, I wish I had a Job at least it pays bills and rent !!

What do you mean by you can't afford you're home? are you claiming housing benefit? people on low wage can still get housing benefit you know.

I get the full housing benefit and I don't pay any rent at all at the moment (but I might have to pay part rent when I get a job)

So count your self you got a job and I will say this again (stop moaning)
  • Hi Jacklink, how about fixing what you already have...

Why all the money spent on travel? Could you be happier closer to home in your holidays ( I assume this is when you spend money on travel, and it's not work related travel that you eat costs on )

Also, with some saving elsewhere ( of which I'm learning this forum has a unimaginable amount to offer ) you could save your day off by paying someone to do it - have your grocieries delivered, get a maid through for a couple of hours.

just some thoughts, hope they help. R

if you finish your job you will be happy for a few weeks, staying in bed getting up when you want,
then you will be bored out off your head, worrying about sanctions, and you wont know what to do with yourself, you wont have any money for going out any where,

I'm guessing that you don't like your job much either.

Is there any way you can speak to your boss and if possible, make your current working environment/responsibilities more enjoyable? Could you work from home, say, one day a week? A little motivation and the feeling of being valued in the workplace goes a long way towards making the grisly prospect of work very much more bearable!

im sick of working, i have no free time, no time to do as i please, if i have a day off im usually catching up on house work, i work 6 days a week and have no money, my wages are spent on travel, food and usual house expenses, i dont own my home i cant afford it.

    peed off

i guess if i were on benefits id, have no money, lots of free time and catch up on housework, id have no travel or food expenses

so if i work = no money - pay all own bills and no time
if i dont work = no money - benefits pay bills - and lotsa time

    hhhmmm

Oh I battle with this every day, financially I am no better of in work, I suppose the only good thing is my job gives me routine and a bit of self respect. Well that's what I tell myself anyway.
