The bulkier stuff is home delivery only - and will probably be in LX Direct and Littlewoods catalogues as well, so they wouldn't be selling any of that stuff off.

I have been told on good authority that most, if not all, of their warehouse stock/home delivery only items has already been sold off to a third party.

Nothing over 20kg in the Index shops in the high street.

Not so - I have my eye on an item in store that weighs over 20Kg but am holding out for further reductions (it has already been reduced 3 times but they have a few in stock ;)).

A bit confused about the price of the Sony Flash Memory Walkman - I went on to Index site, and it's £99.99 .......... so where did the price of£36.99 come from - is this the price in the shops? Cos I want one!

Got one for £36.99 weeks ago, along with a Sharp GX-15 for about £44 and a digital multimeter for £2.

I doubt there are any of these left anywhere by now.

perriless - the index site has now closed down completely. I think what you have done is gone to lxdirect by mistake, and you won't find these discounts on their site.

The only way to take advantage of the Index 'bargains' (and hopefully some will appear before they close down completely) is to go into an Index store.

I was in yesterday and they had a 6-man 3 berth tent for £55! Basically everything in the catalogue apart from home delivery only items have at least 20%off. Rings had 50% and furniture had 40%. They have a list at the shop of the discount which applies to each section.

Can anyone who's got a catalogue tell me if Index carry baseball gloves, bats etc? If I find a catalogue number, is the call + collect number still working to check stock, or do I have to trawl round any that are near me?

    cheers
