Does the campsite have laundry facilities? If it does, then one set on, one set packed, wear the 'on' set until filthy, change into 'packed' set while doing a load, and so on ...

    I've been Money Tipped!
As a mum that over packs quite considerably I would be wary of just taking one lot of tops and bottoms, as my son proved me right on our recent holiday when he was very travel sick  luckily I had a spare set of clothes with me but its worth planning for that unexpected encounter :D

:rotfl: I feel your pain! The very first time I left home for a day out without a complete change of clothes for all 3 of the boys, they ALL threw up on the way ...

Also don't forget if for any reason you need something ie a top or swimming trunks, you can buy them there - asda tesco - cheap - and they're everywhere -

Having just come back from 8 days camping with 30 scouts and seeing how much they took and how little they wore I would just take one complete change of clothing, wear heavier ones for the journey, Wellies in case, flip flops, comfy shoes/trainers, enough underwear for each day, water proofs rather than thick heavy coats, warm jumper each.

I used an air bed with a sleeping bag and a light weight fleece blanket and didn't feel the cold, a child might but you could fold a blanket in half for a child.

I would go dressed in walking boots, shorts, t-shirts each. I would take 3x spare pants / socks, 3x spare t shirts, a waterproof coat, a hoodie or fleece, some trackies and a pair of trainers each. The reason I suggest shorts for in the day is that legs dry a damn sight easier than fabric! Sleep in the trackies and whatever t shirt you've worn that day. Then you have the trackies to wear in the day if there is a shorts-based emergency (ie they get dropped in the shower block or something)

We are off to a caravan for 4 nights tomorrow and I think we look like we are moving out as the boot of our zafria is full to the level of the back seats. There is 5 of us though and youngest still has a push chair due to his disability. My top tip is when you get home write a list of what you actually needed ready for next time.
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T

I would take 3 changes of top half an undies 2 pairs jeans and I shorts along with 2 micro fleeces jammies a kagool wellies and trainers. Crocs too if room allows. We use sleeping bags and travel towels to save room and buy food at location to save room in car. My son always falls in at least I river so enough dry clothes are an essential! We love fleecey tops as they dry so quickly and take up so little space! If you are taking duvets and have an airbed pump then use the vacum pack bags for bedding and clothing.
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T

Mine never wore jeans until they were teenagers, but jeans are a NIGHTMARE if they get wet: difficult to dry and can rub uncomfortably!
