I've just changed the ones on my wife's Jazz at 7 years/35,000 miles, but she does a lot of town driving. Modern pads and disks don't last as long as they used to (no asbestos now), but 40,000 should be easily achievable for most people.

I thought asbestos was softer and get rubbed down faster (but better braking performance)

The prices quoted are for flat paint and no options - can you configure a car with extras?

Why would you pay in full for extras for 2 years use and then hand the car back? Volvo are insisting on 18 month deals for some of their models at the moment? Makes no sense.

yeah lease cars are for driving. SOmeone else mentioned elsewhere on a lease thread that lease cars are heavily discounted for cars that dont sell well.

So I think companies like lings cars will just buy whatever they can get - take it or leave it.

Btw, lings cars has an interesting range of vehicles, they have the deloreon and original fiat 500 (i think) in their fleet.

Checked with Ling - you can configure extras. They adjust the lease price - you don't pay in full unless they don't add to the car value when it comes to reselling it at the end of the lease - which is probably most of them! I'm looking at at least a 3 year lease.

I'm comparing it to taking a company car as the tax just keeps going up.

That's just a bit of fun, not a real offer.

really? weird they would list it on the site.

You can actually buy brand new deloreons to this day. So it would not be far fetched for someone to keep selling them.

When the owner of the company got busted for trafficking cocaine, the compaany had to go down under. The company was sold to third parties will all the stock.

All the parts for deloreons are mint fresh, there are enough parts available to build 5000 complete deloreons. Anyone who wants one can buy one for around 80K US.
