T Mobile made my day !!

My T Mobile contract is coming to an end. I am a high user, £75 a month with bills of around £200 a month.

Called retension to cancel and get my port code to take over to O2 as I want a playstation 3 from the onestopphoneshop.

So, retension say "how about we pay your line rental for the next 18months"

Saving of £1350 !!

Ok !!

You must be a very high user then?

I barely use any services outside my allowance. They regularly have a laugh when I try to get them to offer a good retention deal.

Recently I left T Mobile, and ported my number over to free PAYG sims from Vodafone. Then ported it back to T Mobile phones that I got from Dialaphone.

So I'm paying £10 per month after cashbacks etc rather than £30 that they offered me.

  • I am and always go over my minutes so I have now taken out a O2 tariff with onestop with the PS3 1800min so i can use both phones and bring the costs down.

T-Mobile didnt even hesitate in offering the free line rental, just offered it there and then without any haggling. I tried to get more but having none of it :-(

What was your monthly line rental normally before discounts?

Maximum they can give you off line rental is £17 per month unless you had a discount from last year that was mush higher and you renewed that? Also you won't have got a phone?
