Any mortgage appeal success stories??

I posted a threat before but no one replied - it was about my situation with the halifax sending an offer out to me and my solicitor then withdrawing it. After me paying for searches etc. they said something on the creditscore? Nothing has changed in a week. So my broker is appealing obviously. So upset.
So has anyone ever appealed and had success?

This is usually a result of a change in information and a new credit score not meeting the bar.
Typically a subtle change in name or address format that comes to light as the legal end progresses. Or perhaps you have altered some credit arrangements during the mortgage application period.
Your broker is best placed to deal with this, whether it can be resolved is dependant on the cause and if you can identify and effect that cause.I am a Mortgage Broker

In the time the application was issued and withdrawn my partners score dropped to poor because his credit card balance was shown on there. We did declare to the bank that he had just bought a car on his credit card and have made 2 payments of it already. We haven't missed any payments. Could this be resolved if we agreed to clear the balance by completion?0

Are you saying you put in an application for a mortgage, then your partner bought a car on his credit card whilst the mortgage application was progressing?I am a Mortgage Broker

No he had already bought the car about 3-4 weeks before hand but I do not know whether it was showing on his credit file or not. As I said before we did declare to the broker that my partner had 2k on his credit card from this. Iv looked at my partners file and its on there that he owes this but hasn't updated that we've paid 2 months worth off (it's interest free for a year)0

I mean the property is 105k and were putting down 21k deposit so were lending 84k. If it is because of his stupid card (I am furious about it all and want to kill him but I just have to deal with it) would the bank not agree to let us pay it off?0

Do not kill him as it may effect your credit score further.
Leave it to your broker to handle.I am a Mortgage Broker

Why don't people simply continue the same thread, instead of starting multiple new ones on different forums?

ok Kingstreet instead of criticizing it would be nice if you actually give some advice.0
