so I don't let anyone have a test drive in it before buying?
does that mean I can keep it on my drive uninsured? and if I do sell it would their 3rd party cover them to drive away my car if it wasn't insured by me
You can keep it uninsured on your drive if you have sorned it.
99% of insurance policies with driving other vehicles 3rd party are only valid if the car has its own insurance in place.
Nobody is going to buy it without a test drive, So contacting your insurance company is probably your best option.
Once you have been paid and have a signed receipt of sale. They can drive away how ever they like without any comeback to you, as they would own the car from the point of sale.0 -
Tbh this was one of the reasons why I went P/Ex with a dealer for my old car. Too much faffing about with rules and regulations, and if no one can test drive your car you'll find it very hard to sell it.0
