Loan Spotter Refund

  • For all those trying to contact LoanSpotter, the address you have is totally incorrect, it seems they are blagging you, as the company operates out of:
3rd Floor, Seymour Grove, Stretford, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M16 0LN.

Used to work there until I found out what it was they were doing, this is where the calls are made, customer services is located and where the Managing Director Syed is located everyday. So start filing those refunds guys.

So what does that make someone who thinks that borrowing money at a 100%+APR is a sensible thing to do:cool:

Is loan spotter paying you a bonus for each post you make on here or is it just part of your normal job description?

Loan spotter staff have been spamming the CAG forum threads as well.

Looks like sense has prevailed here as well.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

Loan Spotter UK is not a lender, we are a broker and help our customers source loans from a panel of lender, some of whom work exclusively with us. This is a paid service and there is a one-off charge of £54.96.

We are registered with the OFT and have a Consumer Credit Licence and are also registered with The Information Commissioner.

Our staff takes one application form from our customer thus saving time and than look to match customers with a suitable solution with one of our lenders. We do not guarantee that you will be approved for a certain loan amount. As a broker we do not discuss loan repayments.

We have trained staff to deal with customer service calls and can be reached:

    0844 704 5998 0844 704 5998 FREE

If you wish to cancel your membership you can do so in writing to:
    Loan Spotter UK
    Fort Dunlop
    Fort Parkway
    Birmingham
    B24 9FE

    1) Fees are taken out of customers' accounts without authorisation.

    Official reply:
"The only time we asks for card details is when a customer is signing up to our service. We are very transparent, and we clearly advise of the membership fee. At no point do we suggest that card details are required for anything other than the payment of a fee. Furthermore we communicate the fee to our customers by email / SMS also and provide a reference number for the payment”

    2) Payment of fees is taken though loans are offered for an amount, which is less than requested.

    Official reply:
“We work with our lenders to help find the largest loan for our customer, however we state on calls that the amount a lender lends will be based on affordability and that all lending decisions are made by the lender only.”

We do not discuss repayments, APR or loan amounts with customers, as this is something they will discuss with lenders.

    3) Loan Spotter processes an application fee knowing that they will not be able find customers a suitable lender.

    Official reply:
"We only accept customers who have matched the criteria of at least one lender on our system and we therefore believe we can help. Customers are under no obligation to proceed with any of the solutions we recommend for them”

    4) It is difficult to obtain a refund from Loan Spotter.

"We operate a 100% refund policy for any customers who are unhappy with the service they have received. To discuss a refund with us you are simply required to contact us via phone (0844 704 5998, 0844 704 5998, or email help@loanspotter.net)”

    5) You do not provide a genuine service.

“We absolutely DO and stating we do not is slanderous and libellous. We operate a business which looks to assist customers, works with lenders and has spent a lot of time and money developing our technology.”

    Regards,
    Customer Services

  • I still have not received my full refund. Although I went through my bank as a Visa dispute, I was then told by my bank that Loan Spotter had refunded half of my £54.96 and therefore the claim had been settled. I then had to pay back the £54.96 to my bank so technically I still haven't got all my money back. Every time you email Loan Spotter, you never get a response. I would like the other half of my money back to be honest. I've worked hard for it. Loan Spotter are a bunch of crooks who prey on the needy when they are most vulnerable. Definitely taught me a lesson!!!!

    How are they crooks ?

You could have put the phone down when they called you up and none of this would have happened.

Well legally they are maybe not crooks, but morally anyone who preys on the desperate should hang their head in shame.
We all know in hindsight what paths we shouldn't have taken, but it has taken me years to get out of the clutches of some of these people and I sympathise fully.
When your options are limited, and you panic, and have no-one to advise you or back you, it's so easy to believe in someone sympathetic at the end of the phone.

Keep going till you get back every penny!
