Loan Spotter Refund

Yet still you persist in emailing them, it's no wonder you aren't getting anywhere.. Every time you email Loan Spotter, you never get a response.
How many times does it have to be said that you need to WRITE a LETTER and POST IT TO THEM?
It's really simple, you request in writing, you complain in writing, you get the FOS involved
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/form/complaint_form.doc
If you maintain your stubborn refusal to follow the procedure you are never going to get your money back.0 -
These guys are crooks - took the money despite being told specifically that I wasn't interested in any scheme with up front charges. (Got the card details as a result of a supposed ID check earlier in the process - really stupid of me, but caught off guard).
When I wrote to them for a refund, they 1st claimed I had agreed to everything, then when I made it clear I wanted nothing to do with them they offered £24 as a full and final settlement, when I said I had contacted the financial ombudsman they increased this to £36 - contrary to their own supposed refunds policy and basically asking me to sign away £20 and limiting what I could claim back in the future after they fraudulently took funds from from my account.
It amazes me that these companies are allowed to continue to operate and that individual staff aren't prosecuted for their actions and banned from working in similar businesses in the future; they know full well what they are doing.0 -

Why should the staff be punished, its the owners who should be punished.
Anyway they continue to operate because people use them, if no 1 used them then they would slowly die off.0 -
The staff are still carrying out the activity - and taking funds without authorisation / providing the associated service is fraudulent.
The staff know this full well and are part and parcel of the fraud along with the owners.
Anyway I just referred it all to the financial ombudsman and action fraud - no point messing around.
Bizarre that some people think you should do what companies like this demand when you haven't made any agreement to do so - if you haven't made a deal, their terms and conditions are meaningless.0 -
Can you read the post above yours?
Nowhere did it say use a telephone, it is pointless. How much money are you going to spend on calls?
He did say he wrote a letter already to ask for a refund. I have read lots of threads where you have posted and you are very quick to jump on the high horse, forgive me if I say it. In this case, you should have read the OP more carefully maybe

Indeed - and if you haven't agreed to use the company's service you have not made any form of deal which would oblige you to follow their terms and conditions anyway.0 -
PUT IT IN WRITING.
SEND IT BY NORMAL MAIL.
Keep doing as above, for as long as it takes.
DO NOT WASTE MONEY PHONING.
DO NOT WASTE TIME EMAILING.
You should get your money back, eventually, less admin charges.
Best of all, don't use these dodgy brokers....... :wall:
Lin :doh:You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
