Ebay Indefinite Selling Restriction

Hello Everyone
I wanted to come on here for a bit of a vent and also to ask for everyone's help!!
A few years ago I had an account on ebay and they made me jump through loops regarding postage prices and handling times. At the time I worked full time-therefore my despatch time was approx 10days (if an item wasn't paid for until Sat afternoon then it wouldn't be posted until the following Sat!) also I had the problem with postage fees that yes Royal Mail charged e.g £2.20 for 2nd class, however I included for my materials etc and also I ended up getting it signed for as parcels kept going missing so I was having to foot the cost.
So I had the email about my sellers performance being too low. However whatever I seemed to do it didn't bump anything up or improve so I cancelled the account (well at least I thought I did).
So i set up a new one a few months later (as missed it and also thought my other one had been cancelled) had my new account for the past 3 years 99.6% positive feedback and sellers rating fab!! So as with everyone moneys tight bills to pay etc etc so been selling more on there however I have always had a restriction of selling 30 items a month. So called to see if there was anyway to increase these.
I spoke to a lady who advised I would need to email through regarding my accounts being linked. So I did and now they have given my account the restriction of selling indefinitely as apparently they never cancelled my old account due to the fact my sellers ratings weren't meeting the criteria and because they didn't improve have banned me from selling???!!!
I spent an hour on the phone to them explaining my situation to which they could not have given a damn about!!
Also anyone who is 'linked to me' could also be affected so my husband could get a selling restriction or also anyone who has logged onto my account from my IP address??!! How does that even work?
Didn't realise how reliant I am on ebay as have a whole pile of stuff to go on and to be fair desperate for the cash!!
Does anyone have any ideas on where I can sell items? Or how to sort out/get around this stupid thing?

Unfortunately, once ebay decide to restrict you like that it is almost impossible to recover it. As far as i know ebay accounts are never actually deleted, and once one account gets restricted they will also then restrict any linked accounts they find to stop people getting around the restriction.
It is true that your husband any anyone else who has logged in form your computer or ip address could be at risk, but weather or not this happens is anyone's guess as ebay seem a bit random in this regard0 -
Like you, I work full time and I just 'play' at eBay now and then, selling something I no longer want/need or looking out for a bargain offered by another private seller.
I have to be honest, if my despatch time was 10 days, my selling would undoubtedly have been permanently stopped by eBay long ago - ditto overcharging on postage.
You just can't outlandishly overcharge on postage and take a week and a half to post everything, after taking someone's money - without accepting that disgruntled buyers are going to damage your account with low ratings.
I usually charge the actual postage rate - certainly no more than 10% at most and I always despatch as soon as I can - usually next day. Even then, I receive occasional low ratings.
Even if your account was fully restored, if you can't deliver the service that your buyers will expect, it's inevitable that within no time, you'll lose your account again.
In short, I would accept that selling on eBay isn't something you can successfully juggle with other commitments and leave it at that.

pooch068 I think you have to realise that perhaps ebay selling isn't for you. If I buy something from an ebay seller I do not want to wait 10 days for it to be delivered to me or pay inflated p+p. If you do find a way back as a seller you need to sharpen up your ideas.0

You will not survive on eBay for two minutes with a dispatch time of 10 days.
To be perfectly blunt, if you are unable to post an item for 10 days, eBay is not for you.
No buyer will wait almost two weeks for an item to be sent so eBay have quite rightly kicked you off.
You are not the type of seller that eBay want on their site.
Harsh, but true0 -
Unfortunately you were more likely banned due to starting A new account when restricted on another.
It would not have been possible to close the first account, once they hit problems you can't close them and that would have been clear when you tried to do so. Opening another account to avoid restrictions is something eBay take a very dim view of and they are unlikely to relent.
No harm in phoning every now and then to see if they will change their mind, but I don't hold out much hope.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay track accounts using IPAdresses, so if you use something like 'GhostSurf' or 'TOR browser' they can't trace your IPAddress as it is different each time you log on.
Another trick is to add to your address. I.E 37 Crow Street could become 37b Crow Street or Crows nest, Crow Street.. There are plenty of banned users who still use under-the-radar tactics to continue trading on ebay.Never Knowingly Understood.

Gor blimey guv'nor, you're having a bubble!0 -
I work full time & still get stuff out in 2 days. Most Post Offices close at 5:30 & there is always Collect+ where you simply drop your parcel off on the way home from work.Never Knowingly Understood.

10 days for delivery....are you having a laugh?0

Only today, I saw an Ebay seller that only posts on Saturdays.
Did I buy from him? No, I paid £10 more, to someone who will post it tomorrow.
You stand no hope taking 10 days to post.0
