My next stop is the LEA, I have had enough. Too many excuses, too many broken promises and too many mess ups.
I'd be tempted to use safeguarding as a leverage here, except having been bombarded with requests for interviews this morning.
Local government has very strict safeguarding requirements, which whilst I don't think there is any hard and fast rule on how matters are dealt with (it comes down to the individual circumstances presented).
I have a lot of discretion as to what I can/can't allow the children I'm responsible for to do, as it's a far reaching criteria. Is that a bad draw?
Unfortunately, yes.
We'd prefer 2nd/3rd, as it allows you to get on stage and do it, then worry about it, without too much pressure. Last on is not a nice position to be in for the 30 minutes you're waiting.💙💛 💔0 -

I would have thought that appearing last means the judges remember you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Due to it going out on a phone vote for 50% of the points, there are a lot of variables.
We've got a strong song, and a good singer, so we'll see after first rehearsal in about 50 minutes.

ETA: Strongest so far is Ukraine. Malta are on now (another contender) and we're on after. I'll be back about 9pm UK time.

Busy (and stressful) morning here.....had to have another emergency meeting with the school as they messed up big time yesterday afternoon with the end result of a very stressed, angry, depressed and anxious youngest punching the walls on his return home last night and no sleep at all (for me and him!)
My next stop is the LEA, I have had enough. Too many excuses, too many broken promises and too many mess ups.
On a brighter note, I finally picked up my new glasses this morning which means I can read again without getting headaches or feeling sick.lemonjelly wrote: »Makes me a bit sad thinking about them though, as a dear friend at work discussed with me how chillis were good for a health condition they had. I went home to sort them 4 plants. Whilst in the greenhouse I got called to the phone, to receive a message they'd died suddenly.:(
<hugs> Sorry to hear that, jelly.Doozergirl wrote: »The hydraulic drill in my 'garden' in conjunction with the pressure in my sinuses (is that the right plural?) is making my face vibrate. Not the nicest experience.
Ouch! Sounds nasty. How long is the drilling going to go on for?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Not seen predictive text since
Predicative text is amazing - once you get used to it (and it gets used to you, it changes as you use it) it's even better.
It's incredibly fast, you can text at a speed of light.lemonjelly wrote: »It always amused me that c0ck seems to be turned to anal in predictive text.
I worry that says more about my childish self than anything else...:o
I'll take your word for it - I've never found that out, myself........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I pad just types c0ck as !!!! for me but the sensor wipes it out.
I pretty much gave up texting after the mind melt. I think my brain might work a bit like a predictive text thing, and the two conflict horrifically. I occasionally type out texts slowly and agonisingly.
Usually I give up and call the person half way through.
DH gets texts like
Y
N. or avsjvxkywgkysxl
He always seems to know what they mean, oddly.0 -
All my dogs can be together again! (Need to be a bit careful theoretically but kiwi doesn't realise about viability and has lost interest......if there is a calamity I guess first born gets called Theoretical.
Its such a relief to have them to get her and all mellow!0 -
