Right now, I would kill for some decent central heating, it's blooming cold here (bedroom is 15 degrees) and I feel the cold. We are getting by though before anyone panics, have an electric oil filled rad and a halogen heater which are keeping the children warm and toasty.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Did he write "Mum lost her car keys"? Nope, he wrote "Freeing the slaves"
I love your youngest. Whatever you say about him, it always makes me think "cool kid". He seems so unknowingly witty. If he doesn't go on to run a FTSE company from his own private island, he should consider creative writing. There's something Noel Coward-esque about his dry humour that I love. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

We have reduced electric usage considerably by dumping the old PC and using laptops. Also not having kids leaving lights on, doors open and showering for half an hour helps. Still think the total E + G is above £2500. Since we had loft insulation put in, the house remains warm once the heating has gone off.
Do the DKs need Sunday activities? Do they get any chill time? I would have thought a Sunday commitment stops family outings.
i know you are a lot of m2 but that sounds like it might be worth getting 'dual zone' set up as presumably with DKs around less you don't need it all heated all the time? Also if your boiler is quite old a new one might have a reasonable pay back period?
Only the auditions were on a Sunday, classes would be in the week although you may be right about chill time, Sunday already tends to be homework day because of other activities taking up the rest of their time but they seem to love it, neither DW or I are at all extrovert so i don't know where they get it from.I think....0 -

Weird you say that....the popular ones at school think he is really cool too. He never talks to them or has anything to do with them but they think he is one of the coolest kids in the school. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

£3k if you let the dogs out to widdle twice a day.
At weekends mine go out about 8 times a day and yes it does make the house colder!PasturesNew wrote: »Michaels should go onto the other boards and post fuel bills and ask if that's good/reasonable ... then Spirit quickly post her figures and say it's amazing/don't know how your bills are so low.
Then sit back and watch them pile in for the next 3 months on how to heat an entire house with 3 plantpots, recycled cereal boxes and £4.
I think that is an excellent idea - I have never got my head round the plant pot idea though. Really????We were a few minutes late for school this morning as I misplaced my car keys, so youngest had to write the reason he was late....

Caused lots of merriment amongst the teachers I can tell you.
That is just brilliant!
No idea what my gas and elec is, as Mr Bugs used to pay that from his account and I seem to have forgotten to cancel those DDs * looks innocent*. I do know that the electricity usage back in January was estimated at over 6000, currently it's about 5750. I use little whereas he used to leave lights on, television on, run laptops - we used to need our own substation. Gas will probably be at least 50% less, so maybe £500 a year.
Mr B didn't get his sub-cut, he's had about 400ml in the last four days, most of that on Sunday. If he doesn't get it today, it will back to hospital. It would take too long to explain, but in short it's one department not talking to another and meanwhile the lovely staff are pulling thier hair out because they can do it, but no-one will tick the box.0 -

How annoying! Hope they sort themselves out soon.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I have heard worse reasons.
This week a trainee from the graduate scheme came to see me.
Me " what made you apply for this particular scheme. "
Grad trainee " my dad was really keen for me to do it"
Me " and why the preference for the xx training scheme"
Grad trainee " dunno really"
That was half an hour of my life I will never see again.0 -
Do you think s/he understood why they didn't get the job Spirit? :rotfl:0
