We don't add salt to anyhting we cook at home and find all ready meals much to salty.
I agree. I like a small amount of salt on chips, and otherwise do not add salt to anything either at the cooking or eating stage.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Home made croissants are GODLIKE.
I guess one of the reasons my food repertoire isn't big is because I've rarely had good/well made food - just poorly made food, cheap food, canteen food. Nobody's going to randomly make something posh and expensive on a whim of "you never know, might like that".0 -

Dry croissants are very disappointing. Croissants are best eaten fresh and preferably warm. Round here the best ones are from the fresh bakery section in the Co-op - much nicer than any of the other supermarkets. Or if you want to try them at home, get some of these.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Just seen something on telly that I think was downright rude.... still got that foodnetwork channel on (never watched it before). Pioneer Woman in the States - went to church and afterwards they had a pot luck lunch.
She then went to the table and lifted off some good quality meat into a doggy bag and said "nobody will mind" - next shot was her arriving at home and taking the meat out of the bag and feeding it to her dog.
It wasn't leftovers from people's plates. It was high quality stuff straight from the trestle table! What a waste! How rude.0 -

They're much smaller than shop bought ones. I could easily eat six if I was hungry. Or you can bake two at a time and leave the rest of the dough wrapped up in cling film or in a freezer bag.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I am so cold! I'm in my bed with a coat on. The heating is on but even standing next to the radiator isn't helping.
I have to do school run in a few minutes. Dreading it!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Agree with this. I would say similar for sauces (I hate it when people absolutely cover their dinner with sauce, or vinegar, to the extent all you can taste is sauce or vinegar...)
I'd say the same applies to make up too. A little to enhance what is already there is best.:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
The Daily Mail reports that French television viewers may get a bit more than they bargained for after Dora Tillier vowed to present the weather forecast naked if France qualified for the World Cup.
With France 2-0 down after the first leg of their play-off against Ukraine, Tillier promised to take her clothes off if Les Bleus recovered to qualify for next year's Finals in Brazil.
And ratings are expected to go through the roof on Canal+ as people tune in to see if Tillier fulfill her promise after Didier Deschamps' side beat Ukraine 3-0 at Stade de France.
I think that the nation is safe in the knowledge that Carol Kirkwood won't be making the same pledge regarding Scotland any time soon. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
