Been reading the book viva mentioned ages ago "Whoops". Aaargh!

Busts a few myths particularly about how good an investment property is.

Seems there's a weird phantom economy of financiers selling each other .......well, nothing really

Watched the new Breaking Bad. It's brill!

Is that a good 'Aaargh', or one that suggests that you'll never, ever listen to my recommendations again?

It depends on how they are socialised. We had cats and dogs for over 20 years. Our last dog, cat, bunnies and chooks all wandered around the garden free range. This dog we had rehomed to us at aged 5..and he chases cats etc.

I really miss the everything everywhere way it used to be. I had no idea how lucky we were.

You lost me in the penultimate sentence?

Yossie came across a dog which wasn't used to cats, and it tried to chase him. Sadly for Dog, Yossie is extremely un-anxious, more than any other cat I've met. First he looked puzzled, then indignant, and did the fur-on-end thing to make himself twice the size and swiped Dog on the nose with his claws. Then he turned and walked off, contempt in every inch of him.

All 4 of my family's dogs were acquired as puppies, and in all cases, a cat was already in residence and was Top Dog, so to speak.

I forgot to mention, but Isaac had his first extra dyslexia-overcoming lesson last Friday, and his second, third and fourth on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Each is an hour long.

The man who is teaching him is really, really good, and Isaac likes him. So far, so good!

Excellent news. Hope it helps him loads. Must make DS do some handwriting practice....
That system's been no good for anybody. A HUGE overhead, that just subsides employers into providing low paid, part-time work to the masses.... costs the Govt a fortune.

It'd be better if they withdrew it all, many people would give up their part-time jobs, employers would have to pay proper wages ... and the end result would be back to one full-time job providing enough income for people to live on.

I think you're thinking of child tax credit rather than child benefit.
Been burgled. Not a happy camper.

:( So sorry to hear that.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
