. Proper summer one....
It sounds near the coast: someone near by has ploughed and the air is full of seagulls. How do they know?
The bantams are full of vigour this morning, flitting all over the lawn, little flights of joy around the place. I can quite see why people become enchanted with them.
We may have a spare boy Lavender Pekin. If anyone needs one:).0 -
Sense of adventure CK!
I have two mutts due to go in for dental work in a couple of weeks - just bracing myself for the bill.
Hope she is feeling better today Spirit, or is she in ferocious mood now:rotfl:
Ooo, didn't know you had a dog, zag, what is it?
I have two mini schnauzers, two German Klein Spitz and a bitzer. Did have a papillon until May when he shuffled off to the big kennel in the sky. So as lir says, a pack.....
Meggle's bill was £420. Plus £36 for the consultation last week and probably the same again at the post op check next week.
Cheaper than OH's dental work though, so I am happy.
Actually she is not ferocious today, although she was bravely putting herself in the way of the dog this afternoon. I have posted piccies of our boy before..he is a Flatcoat. A lovely bear of a dog.0 -
Greg, cannot find dress I want for Friday night. Where does my washing keep hiding? Its really annoying.
Might leave it till Friday morning to sort out now. I know its a risky strategy.....0 -
Been reading the book viva mentioned ages ago "Whoops". Aaargh!
Busts a few myths particularly about how good an investment property is.
Seems there's a weird phantom economy of financiers selling each other .......well, nothing really

They all recognise who is boss, even though the boss is far smaller than his henchmen. They play together, and if Yossie's had enough, he just jumps up higher than they can reach.
My parents have had both dogs and cats (a total of 4 dogs, and 6 cats) over the last many years - 23 or so, I think.
It depends on how they are socialised. We had cats and dogs for over 20 years. Our last dog, cat, bunnies and chooks all wandered around the garden free range. This dog we had rehomed to us at aged 5..and he chases cats etc.
I really miss the everything everywhere way it used to be. I had no idea how lucky we were.0 -

Do you and Hamish need a room:o.
Or is it something to do with house prices/economy etc that NP do not discuss.0 -

Now I like sharp pickle, but it was a little too much even for me.
Are you supposed to add some sugar to it too?
Beetroot is absolutely gorgeous, up to the point where you stick vinegar in with it.
Pickled beetroot is yuck, roasted beetroot rocks....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

He may not be doing a happy dance anymore. However I cannot say anything about scoring, as an even greater double entendre may emerge. Whoops. Just did...
ETA: happy dance back on again. I have to say as an Englishwoman. That was a blinder.
ETA again. Oh, the music has stopped and another chair has been removed. Nobody can know what way this will go. Good game though! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
