Now, why on earth did I think clocks were changing last night? It left us in a fearful rush this morning.........

For those interested in a meeting of the type michaels is proposing I suggest we do this via email?

Any one who has my email I'm happy to start the ball rolling in getting names together as its the date centred on my schedule ! If you have my hotmail address you can email that or pm here and we can get a group email going till we have time and place confirmed?

    Congratulations!

"Poppy-seed", I never named my bumps, though I've noticed this has become more fashionable over the years.

If I had a bump I would name it.

I would also want to know the sex when it was possible so I could acclimatise to the idea of being a mother to a particular sex of child and start getting things ready with that in mind. I don't think there is a 'right or wrong' way to do things, but I am pretty sure that would have been the right way for me. :D

It also would have given friends plenty of time to try and talk me out of names. (Although we already had a name for a boy )

Yippiee! A NP baby on the way! Congrats, NDG!

I would always keep a spare tyre. If you don't want to spend, get a second hand one in those "£10 for a worn tyre" places. I can recommend one near Chertsey :). They don't accept bitcoins though.

Congratulations again NDG and NDB, I only hope the nausea will be slightly less bad than last time. Not sure about the dates of course but there was that rather drunken NP meet up a few months ago, if DW is reading and getting ideas, I left first on my own.....

WE wanted to know the gender of ours when they were still bumps although even then we still struggled with names, to the extent that for his first week DS had a different name to the one he actually has....not knowing the gender jst seems to add an extra complication to a time when there is already enough to worry about/plan for.

Nikki I hope you have completed. Our solicitors have sent funds but apparently the computers are down at Barclays so the vendors solictiors can not conrifm receipt of funds so can not complete  We then have the letting agents on the phone saying they have a potential who is in town now and very keen to look round but of course we don't have keys or access yet....and of course everything is kicking off at work today as well, this having a job thing is so inconvenient :(
    I think....

I got a voicemail from my solicitor at 11:20 confiming the transaction was complete. I have a meeting 2-3, and will leave work after that to go and pick up the keys to MY house :D
(I feel sick, but there is definitely not another NP baby on they way!)

Hope the computer glitches sort themselves out asap Michaels.

    Brilliant.

I'm surprised you can contain yourself, if it were me I don't think I would take in 2 words from the meeting as my mind would certainly be elsewhere. Have a great evening, you deserve it :)

Speaking of descendants, OH and I are anticipating increasing our total number of them by 100% next spring - early May, we think. Hence why I've been a bit quiet the last few weeks, I'm suffering the absolute exhaustion of early pregnancy, and increasing nausea, too. I went to bed very early tonight, but then woke up feeling very queasy and came upstairs to scoff carrots.

PN and LIR therefore both met 3 of us together for the first time - Isaac, Poppy-seed and me. Although, at the time, I didn't know there was a third person accompanying me (-:

We've not yet told Isaac, who thinks I'm either ill or working too hard, because I keep yawning all evening. I've told him I've got a cold (for the moment).

My parents reacted in their predictable ways, from my mother's "darling! How wonderful!" to my Dad's, "Right, NDG, you need to look after yourself, get lots of sleep, early nights, eat properly...."

Congratulations NDG & NDB. Hope the nausea goes away much faster than last time.:j:T

I wanted to know the sex both times, too. The first time LNE knew DS was going to be a boy, but we didn't tell anyone. The second time we knew DD was going to be a girl, and we told people so, but we didn't tell them the name until she arrived.

Woohoo! Hope everything goes smoothly this afternoon, then.:j:T

Meanwhile, I have been frustratingly stupid.:(:wall:

I had a vague idea that I had arranged for DD to go away for a Brownie weekend some time in the autumn, but I hadn't put much thought into it and hadn't entered it on the calendar. It now turns out that it's not a weekend - it's four days during half term. But that means it clashes with the tickets I've bought to take DS and DD to the Mousetrap for DS's birthday. I need to pass the tickets on to somebody who will give me at least a bit of money for them, and get new ones for a different date. Mercifully DS is being entirely chilled about the prospect of a delay to the event. So... do any of the London NP know anybody who would like to buy three reduced price Mousetrap tickets for the matinee on Tuesday 29th October, and if not then please advise me on the best way forward for me in trying to find someone who'd like them?

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
