    Ouch.

I wonder if they edited out anyone who knew they were one and the same or was wise enough not to volunteer an opinion.

I really hope they had at least one on the cutting room floor.

    Stamping foot and tantrum throwing.

My date for new consultant finally came through, and mystery of delay has been cleared up, I have been referred back as an NHS patient. Funnily enough, its not a long wait till that appointment ant the time of day is quite good for me with rail connections AND its a Friday so I could come home with DH after meeting GDb et al for a drink.(if Fridays are ok for you GDb?) and its a good, central hospital.

. But I still think I'd be better going private....so that means it will probably be an inconvenient time of awkward day in somewhere exhausting to get to behind oxford street I gues, in the hope I get time to go through all the symptoms not just 60percent of them, and then can get what I need on private script if its not available NHs.

I guess I hope my ears clear tomorrow so I can use the phone properly and call and talk to his secretary.

Still, extremely good wait time for a referral out of trust area with the NHs there. BIG thumbs up. Very impressed.

Eta: after quick email flurry with DH he says, to consider the NHs appt is ridiculous for this consultant as he's looking at whole picture not 'one bit' and no way it can all be covered in an NHs consult time. So, will rearrange. Looks like will be last week of oct or first week of November if NHs list is a guideline......

Fridays are okay for me. DW usually likes me to help prepare for Friday Night (with a capital N), but she'll cope for one night.

Anyway, I'm happy to fit in with you. I only hope that you're not taking on too much?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That's good to know, if I can get a Friday I will, though if his NHs clinic is Friday he's unlikely to have a private one on Friday too I guess.

But I'd also feel bad taking you from your wife

    Greererreeeeerreeerrrrrr

    Actually,now I'm really piddled off.

I went back to check the private clinic times to see if I can at least get an idea, and realise I haven't even been referred to who I asked to be refered to.

I have the GP two names who I had been advised were good to be referred to and said I would see either, his preference on bupa.

He's refered me to another guy entirely on NHs. Though.......the hospital IS a centre of excellence for the area, what the guy's particular specialty is in doesn't fill me with enthusiasm.

Sorry to hear all that, LIR.

Going back to the green tomatoes, putting them with ripe bananas will help them to ripen indoors. It's likely to succeed unless they are completely green and unripe when you start - in which case they may stay resolutely green whatever you do.

My DW would consider it a favour although I may not be in town the last two days of October.
    I think....

I know it cannot be 25 th or 29th. But that's all ATM.

I'm going to speak to secretaries tomorrow and see who this NHs guy's team are..maybe I should see him....and then see what the private guys' schedules are like.

The private guys I checked tonight, one looks very hungry, so not that keen to see him (although tatler likes him,..so good for mixing with the rich and famous were i so inclined....but not) the other looks like either ken ( as in Barbie and) so I thought he might be fun?

He's also very keen on study into pain and its impact. So that might be interesting and helpful. I'd be definitely for him if he was interested in STOPPING pain.

We had no such thing. I know that because I used to spend a lot of time in the library looking at pictures of food :)

There was a fat old lady who sat at the desk and that was it. She was miserable.

My son is canteen prefect. I'm guessing you'd have liked that job more :)
