    I've been Money Tipped!
    Re Harry potter .

I have to admit I'm nt a huge fan and I love fantasy of that nature. But it got kids reading and imagining. Its better than the battalions of vampires and fae ( and I like some of the vampires) for tween and teen readers.

For those that like the fantastical youth literature, I am still raving about daughter of smoke and bone, and its sequel. Quite dark, not for young children or Tweens, but very beautifully dark and hopeful. Written, crafted rather than hacked out....a treasure in a hackneyed genre suffering for ease of self publishing and overconfidence of young authors.

You are doing two of the most stressful things people can do. At the same time. If you were not stressed you'd be very odd.

Results Ch 1 is with a friend who knows the subject inside out.

I don't think my timelines are going to be very conducive to reviewing. I think I'll just have to off load it on my supervisor. Hoping to get Results Ch2 done sooner rather than later then will try to send 1+2+ methods to supervisor as a bit of a warning shot to expect the whole thing by the end of the month (aka the deadline).

Feel bad that he's going to get the whole thing dumped on him at fairly shot notice, but he knows that this deadline is coming up... and I have bigger things to worry about (like writing the bloody thing).

I think I need an early night tonight. Planning another holiday in the office tomorrow (so should be a productive day).

Hope your stress gets better soon, Missk. At least I know when 2/3 of mine will disappear!

    That sounds horrendous.

It is OK, everyone of my "raters" is constructive and professional. They included my staff, boss and peers.

No one wrote "you're depriving a village of it's idiot" so all is well.

    !

    Keep going.

Reading your ups and downs is inspiring me to keep my mouth shut, as DD has to complete her MA dissertation by 12th Sept and without yours/MissK's streams of conciousness I would probably be nagging her and adding to her stress.

Did they mention your incorrect use of apostrophes?

    Michaels is a woman!;)

I will limit myself to one post tonight.

I am not feeling grumpy although my shoulder is very stiff. I went to a leaving dinner tonight for a colleague who I will miss but had dinner with the kids at home first cos waiting till 8.45 for food when I'm used to eating between 6 and 7 is a stretch too far for me.

Our planning is due to be decided by the 15th, we have had 9 objections from locally well connected people by the look of things and 2 different councillors have called it in to committee (this will happen if the planning officer OK's it) - shame Doozer is not around to advise these days :( The re-mortgage on current house is hopefully progressing and I am busily 'rounding up' funds from all sorts of different sources (legacy of being a matched better).

We may have another Spanish student coming this weekend. We have subscribed to NowTv for 6 months at 2.50/month which is keeping the kids entertained but it would be better if we could get them to read more - anyone got any top tips on how to make reading a pleasure when there are so many immediate gratification activities on tap?

I have no crazing for raw meat and I am pretty ambivalent about chocolate, perhaps I am not a woman after all?
    I think....
