I did vaguely wonder about getting some toilet roll printed up with pictures of various world leaders on it. At the moment, I would put on it:
Robert Mugabe
Kim Jong Un
Bashar Assad
Does anyone have any further nominations?
Mikhael Saakashvili? David Cameron?Like the "please be nice to new posters".
Although it works well, I tend to find. Especially if you tell them what they don't want to hear :rotfl:

Last night went well. We went to HKK. I managed not to panic order the matching wines this time so the bill was only horrendous instead of being apocalyptic. I gave OH the anniversary present I got her at PN's suggestion (a biro from the work stationery cupboard - forgot to get a pencil. She liked it very much. The flowers I ordered did not arrive so I got out of bed early this morning and got her a flowery plant. And a bacon sandwich.0

I love the way that the 15 course menu ends up with "Selection of petits fours", just in case you are hungry.
I saw the 8 course menu and thought that sounded more sensible, but it's lunch only. Who can do any work after that, though? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Next time I whine about being crook remind me I painted a thirty metre wall today.
Feel ok. Bit bent and tired. Taking a break before feeding equines. Hoping perhaps DH might want to bring them up from the field for me to check and feed them....
He might have been right that I should have stopped a bit earlier, but it was good fun. And means we've scratched the surface of painting the top coat now. I should add up how many exterior metre to paint so we can all have a reward at half way.0 -

The courses were not very big. I could have easily eaten the 8 course meal as well as the 15 courses we had, I could have probably managed about 30 courses in total. Obviously it goes without saying that I am very greedy...
I wouldn't have been able to work afterwards though, because I was sloshed.0 -
I am astonished that this only happened 'a while' after lunch. Mine would have eaten quickly and wanted to get going straight away. Isaac sounds like an exceptional young man.
Well, we met about 2pm, and parted at 4.40pm, so he was scoffing pasta and apple juice for some of the time, chatting about Romans some more of it, then smearing ice-cream over his entire person for a bit, and the rest of the time he was fairly patiently making paper aeroplanes or similar while LIR and I chatted about lots of different things, really.
Then he made it clear he'd come to Bath to see Roman stuff, not just to chat to people and get outside ice-cream, so we went there for 4 hours, and back the next day - he really enjoyed it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
