  • We have embryonic holiday plans. I'm taking Isaac to Bath on Thursday, staying overnight. Then we both have next week (2nd to 6th) booked off work, and Isaac's off school until the following Tuesday, so if either of us gets paid before then, we'll go away for a week. To Cornwall, Devon, south Wales, Greece or Spain.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Choose Greece - you might as well see what you're allegedly about to have to pay for.

And, for me - when I had a job - it was the reminder that now was that loooong stretch until Xms for the next days off, with only dwindling light and warmth to come :(

Thank you both for articulating exactly how I feel this morning :-(
    I think....

Well I've got the day off today. Yay!

...to look after a very sick Mrs Generali. If anything she's worse than yesterday. I'm doing spicy chicken noodle soup with home made chicken stock for dinner. Lots of chilli, garlic and ginger.

When I'm sick bed ill I just want quite plain food usually. Chicken soup alone would be perfect. Chicken soups with too much spice (presuming I were not on pills or gut rotting and able to eat it) would be too much.

Jelly is also good. All that kind of protein stuff that's way on the throat and yet not too hard to digest .

You are such a food husband. :). (Food should have read good, but,apt so can stay!). Some prepped fruit might be nice to pick at, and lots of nice drinks.

Also, although they are really for geriatrics you can get sort of tonics full of iron and stuff for recovery and these are quite a boost in return to health (though might just be the idea of taking a 'tonic')

I just got back from the GP who now wants me to go back to the beginning and see a rheumatologist. This is getting very boring.

My pills all have to change and I am going on a prescribed digestive enzyme to see if that helps for a fortnight.

I think I should be an episode of that Hugh laurie show House.. Isn't that about people like me who are health tricksters and complications....

He doesn't drink coffee, but does drink tea. Why?
