You are further west than me. Still sunny and fairly warm here. But it's due to rain this afternoon, so we Inner-Outer-Herts people will get our share.
Last night I slept under a duvet, DH, two cats and various items I could reach to build up warmth.?.pillows, dressing gowns, cast off clothes, a fur throw, a quilt.....some towels.
Things are in boxes coz of builders. But going to have to shuffle soon. Too cold to go on. Today am wearing dress, but also a duvet and cashmere socks.:D0 -
A very tall (female) friend of mine refers to that as 'waste of a tall man', on the basis that PN could manage perfectly well with someone shorter.0

PN: Channel 4 dispatches tonight, celebs, brands and fake fans 8-9pm, about click farms, likes etc.
Might be worth having it on the background?
It's a market I can't compete in on so many levels, I've not bothered with FB at all.0 -

Its cold.
I'm going to clean the mattress and bed head this week and get out the heavier winter duvets I think.....
Reading between the lines, no joy on the boiler front atm?
We got a memory foam mattress topper as luck would have it just before it got really hot. It remains pretty warm for sleeping but I don't know if that is because the temperature is still warm or because of the memory foam being very warm. However I definitely wake up feeling less stiff and achey (although I guess that could also be down to the extra warmth rather than the bed now being more comfortable)I think....0 -

Wouldn't turn the heating on in summer anyway. Its in court process now. We've pretty much decided on its successor. I cannot believe we 're looking at more wood pellet things.. Its the money you see. I imagine NDG's parents, with her sister being there with horses and presumably some sort of business address anyway, are in a similar situation.

Because otherwise she'll never catch you up?PasturesNew wrote: »If I'd had an OH I'd have done that. As I am short and they'd have to have been well over 6' to qualify for the job, they should have 2/3rds of all food served up... to prevent me becoming the size of a planet.
Why "well over 6 '"? What's wrong with 5 ft 11?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Just how much red wine did you drink that evening?! Perhaps I should have tried my luck...helped you find your way back to your hotel etc....
Wouldn't have worked - we were too busy bullying her out og taking a cab and insisting on giving unwanted directions....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I forget - did you mention that your OH is pregnant? If she is, then eating for two requires calories.
Doesn't take many, though, does it? Extra, I mean....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Enough to put on a bit over a lb a month. So, around 150-200 extra calories a day.
The important thing is to remember to take extra minerals, especially calcium so as to try to avoid osteoporosis. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

DH is only a couple of inches taller than me. I never thought I'd want a 'short' man but it works fine, perfect kissing height really.. Lots of old jokes about size to make up for it. Like.....if he stood on his wallet....
