Wouldn't work for me. When I'm properly asleep, it takes a bomb to wake me up, a mere alarm clock doesn't stand a chance.

    !

    That is me too.

When it was my turn to be the executive on call for a large hospital I had the 'bleep' (pager). The reality was Mr S was 'on call' overnight as the incessant beeping had no effect whatsoever on me, but would wake him up, and he and would have to wake me up.

    Everything crossed.

To redress the 'power balance' just visualise the members of the interview panel sitting on the loo.

I think of myself as being ok at sleeping once I get there, however k things that disturbed me last night included one of the cats breathing slightly heavily, the window squeaking, the breeze against the curtain and my own breathing and an ear noise. :o

We have a loo sitting in the upstairs hallway arm. The physical response is almost Pavlovian and sends me scuttling off to a plumbed in one almost every time i notice it. This might be a ba move for me in an interview.

Ditto. I find it hard to go to sleep, and hard to wake up. Whatever state of wakefulness I'm in, I don't like to change.
