SKY TV callout charges

I'm currently getting a 'no signal error 29' message on my tv for all channels and am unable to get the tv guide past 'searching for listings'.
Sky want to send an engineer and the callout fee is £65.
Is there any way the callout fee can be bypassed, especially as there is a monthly fee already?

How long have you had it? You could, if over 12 months and out of any subsequent contract (ie - deal for 12 months to get a discount etc), threaten to cancel and go freeview/freesat/virgin etc.Princess Sparklepants0
