Stay in Norwich where there are a number of Travelodges and Premier Inns for cheapish accomodation.
Norwich gives you a base for travelling by train to North Norfolk, Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

There's a boatyard in the city where you can hire a craft for up to eight hours and, if you're lucky, they won't be fully booked.

I'd recommend somewhere fun that will still be within travelling distance from the new house - that way you'll be able to remind them that the fun stuff is still available from the new place and have an exampkle fresh in their minds. ( Cos 7 and 9 is an age where moving is a big thing for your kids, the holiday should be based around them, iyswim)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Ha, ha, This thread forced me to think about our own (lack of) holiday plans. I based the idea on my own staycation. The differences are[ I'll be substituting the dales for a theme park and the hotel will be our house.bylromarha wrote: »Thanks for all your input - and the 2 pms offering your personal holiday lets + prices + websites...
