Morning all!
Sistercas happy anniversary! Cake looks lovely, well done DDs!
I have fed the washing machine and swallowed some pills, that's the extent of todays productiveness so far! No plans for today, my ill friend and her daughter have been kidnapped by another friend and are being pampered, hopefully that will take her mind off things even for a short time!
Have a good day all!RIP Iain

Good morning everyone
Happy Anniversary to sistercas and her DH
That is a beautiful cake, I wouldn't want to cut it either.
Jools - am so sorry to hear about your friend, life is so cruel sometimes
forever saving - I hope you and your DD are feeling better. That must have come as a real shock when you thought it was just a routine follow up appointment. Am sure you must be so thankful, it was caught and is now gone.
Sun is shining and there is a breeze, so the bedding is out on the washing line. We have just started to try and make some homemade coconut ice cream. We don't have an ice cream maker, as I put my foot down when DH wanted to buy one. I think it was definitely a want, rather than a need. Anyway he found a low carb recipe and is making it by hand, freezing then mixing and so on. So will report back with a taste test later.
Off to the farm shop now to buy some meat, veggies and eggs. Syrian meatballs for dinner with cauliflower "couscous" and some salad. Just had a big cooked brekkie so no lunch will be needed.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Jools (((HUGS))) here's hoping the Universe stops throwing carp and you and the people you care about.
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Sistercas. Lovely cake - if it tastes as good as it looks, you're on a winner!:o
Mr LW has just "hoovered the lawn" as he puts it; I went out and did a bit of tidying to keep him company, but I don't think I've had much effect on the mess. Oh well, I'll just call it a "wildlife garden".:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all
I'm late online today, I was up at 6 & had cereal in the garden, at 7:45 DS came to collect my car, I went back to bed til 9.
Hubby picked some leeks & potatoes so I made a small pan of soup, I'm desperate for something other than cereal & bread, hubby, god love him makes a blinding fryup, but I'm not up to eating one.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester0 -

Hope the home made soup helps and you can manage to digest it without pain.
Jools
I am so sorry about your friend and hope the CT scan shows things are treatable and less bad than they sound.
Sistercas
That cake is gorgeous!!!
Washing machine has been driving me loopy over the last year as I have to keep checking it is still going and have to keep resetting it to rinse and spin:mad: DDs also reckon it is shrinking their clothes which is infuriating when they have been on a quick wash and only worn once after buying from the shop. After months of research I tried the megashopbot on this site and found the best price for the model I like , nagged, er discussed problem with DH and then we took the plunge and ordered a new one with a huge drum. :j Shocked at the price but it has a five year warranty and should cope with all the laundry more easily.
DD comes home next weekend just before my birthday so hoping we can all go for a meal to celebrate and just relax and enjoy being together.
Had the macaroni moussaka from yesterday for lunch and we are all stuffed. Planning to make chicken fahitas tonight with raspberries and ice cream to follow.
Youngest went off for weekend job this morning leaving the packup of veggie couscous I had made specially at her request still in the fridge so she will be starving tonight.
Lovely day so taking a walk out for ingredients for tonight, veg for tomorrow and more fresh lemons for hot drinks for DH's sore throat.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

sistercas - Happy Anniversary, the girls have done you proud with that cake.
jools - BIG HUGS
Lovely day here, don't intend doing much today - nothing like a lazy day! :beer:0 -
Afternoon all,
Not a nice day here....not cold but has been threatening to rain all day and the heavens opened 10 minutes ago, just as OH was starting to watch a match on tv....when rain is heavy we often lose tv coverage, not bad so far but will probably get worse just as things are tense in match!
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs sistercas....that cake looks really professional.
Have been rather busy to-day, made coffee sponge, fruit loaf and 2 loaves of bread....am using a Lidl mix for bread as it turns out a nice loaf and we don't have to buy any.
We are having steak, peas, peppers, bokchoi and steamed potatoes for dinner, its on at moment so will be eating soon....I'm hungry but OH will probably not want much, so have only done small steaks....flat iron from Lidl, very tasty last time I had them so looking forward to that....may just have yoghurt for pudding.
Hugs to all, have a nice evening, stay safe and well.

Hi all,
Sistercas,s - happy anniversary, the cake looks lovely x
Julie - hope you and DS are okay x
Was up bright and early this morning, at Mr L,s door for 7am, swooped up 6 x HP pork shanks for the freezer and a huge bag of swedish meatballs, a few top up items £32 not too bad, considering the pork will be eaten over a coup,e of months. Was going to buy cat food tomorrow, but just found a box 'hidden' in the kitchen, so bonus for me.
Have had a mad week at work, and early part of next week will be a headache, but I have 2 weeks leave from Friday, so as long as I get everything in order, it will be fine and dandy
Chilling for the rest of the day, last of the washing and ironing for tomorrow.
Have a fab evening all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
