Vat on top of bill

Hey I was wondering if someone could explain this to me because I can't seam to make any sense of it at all.

I had 1 line with t - mobile and they merged my over to EE.

I then got a line for my husband, an ipad (with contract sim for my son)

A line for my brother and one for my mum

£34.50 - £67.45
£63.81 £54.21
£47.34

These amounts are for all 5 lines.

I make it roughly £270-75ish which I expected yet it states on my bill that they have added 20% VAT of that on to my bill which is £55!!!!

When I had just the one line my contract was £46 every month, it was what I signed up for a contract with phone and line rental. Why am I all of a sudden being billed VAT on all my lines? I assumed given my previous contract that the VAT was included in the base price

Any help would be brilliant as I am struggling to see how they've just tacked this money on

You could have posted more information instead of just "£34.50 - £67.45 £63.81 £54.21 £47.34".

You have always been charged VAT that was included in £46 - just check your old bills.

If the contracts are new then the first bill normally covers more than one month that makes the total amount bigger.

Check the billed dates range(s) and post them along with the amounts charged before VAT and the expected monthly price for each contract.
