Correct, OP's really p155ing me off .... especially as it's ALL HER FAULT.

She's just jealous because the other person doesn't have to live in her pokey flat and grow stretch marks while her life ebbs away.

 Ok the OP's been incredibly stupid but these personal comments were completely uncalled for, I'm actually really suprised to see this coming from you.

I hope this is a wind up, because it would be unfair for anyone to buy a property from you. You clearly knew the length of the lease and the costs of renewal and you obviously tried to rip someone off.

I think you now need to sell your property at auction, honestly.

~Re the OP's comments about the high cost of the lease extension.. I believe they would have some right to apply to a leasehold valuation tribunal to determine a fair cost to do so?

I don't know much (anything) about that though can someone else jump in?

I do not know what to say more... as someone suggested it costs only £3 to find out the term of the lease so why she hasn't checked it before making an offer if it is so so so important for her??? No honestly if it was a deal breaker for you would you have checked or not?

No we did not try to extract money from her we actually asked below market as we knew of the issue. Nothing also wrong with her being non UK (she is even non EU). That's the lesson for us if you are trying to be generous someone will come and take a free ride...

To what extent have you been "generous" (with anything other than the truth)?!

A lease that drops below 80 years is a no no for most mortgage lenders, so saying 90 years was a whopping lie.

If I was your buyer, I would be thinking about pursuing you for any expenses incured.

No one will buy the flat with a lease that short, unless you drastically lower the price or extend the lease yourself. You need to own a property for 2 years before being allowed to extend, so you are best doing this yourself.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

We accepted the offer that was below the market value to factor in that she may face extra costs afterwards & the nasty freeholder. The Estate Agents were very surprised that we accepted it.

She believed the information that was included in the original statement from yourselves; that is why.

So you knew the length of lease was a problem? and you are upset that the purchaser think that there is a problem!!!!!

How much have you paid out in fees to cover the house sale and purchase? Has it yet occured to you that this woman has had to pay out a similiar amount of because of your untruths?

You have not been in least generous and you have taken the purchaser for a ride.

I suggest that you cancel all that stuff you have bought as soon as possible.

Then spend some money learning how to extend the lease. There is a leaseholders forum somewhere.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

No she did not pay no fees and did not suffer any loss as she's a cash buyer! Why everyone keeps repeating something that is not true!!!
