Spain used to require a bail bond too, if I remember correctly.

Don't know it never got that far.
They just said "Scoucer go home". But with a Spanish accent.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

We also drive to Poland every summer. For a family of five it is cheaper than flying and you have the use of the car when you get there. However I do not bring toilet paper back. we stock up on Polish vodka, beer, Lodz porter 9% strong, anyone?
My local Tesco has a selection of Polish items often on special offer including mustard, etc. Tesco own value ketchup costs about 20p a bottle so no point bringing it from abroad.
We do normally take a cool bag and fill it up with hams and lovely Polish sausages as they are much nicer than anything you can buy here.

I dont think you need to be that "time rich" to drive to Poland. Flying can be pretty time consuming, getting to airport, checking in, security, actual flight, collecting baggage, and then onward travel and before you know it, 8 hours have passed.

So the story here is: wealthy foreigner, with a car that's comfortable/safe/reliable enough to drive miles ... and who has loads of time and people to go with her and family where she's going ..... spends 17p on toilet rolls.

Anybody want to hear my story: single, poor woman drives to Tesco to select cheap bog roll as a Friday night Night out?

    No.

I`d much prefer to hear about the toilet roll trip rather than your tesco trip. Sorry.
