OF 30MEG!!! yes thats right what a joke.
It has been marketed as a competitor to t mobile's web and walk which has a fair use policy of 1 GIG so anyone waiting to see what orange bring out, you have been wasting your time. This means instead of paying 4 quid for 4 meg, I now pay 8 quid for 30 meg, and I will still have to surf the net with the pictures switched off as I was doing before.

Sorry to dissapoint you all, just think of that lovely web n walk we will still all be moving over to.

I've just left Orange for T-Mobile for exactly this reason. I confirmed with retentions a few times before I did that there were definetely no plans to raise the poxy 30mb FUP and they said there weren't. A no-brainer really, so I left.

I've been following this for a few months and signed up to a new 18 month contract based on this press release Orange put out indicating there was an unlimited package coming, as did customer services at various times when I called.

It is indeed a pitiful 30Mb per month, and to make matters worse if you exceed this it's then charged at £3 per additional Mb!

Even with Orange World Access 10 if you go over that it's only 80p per Mb.

I have an SPV M3100 and with images disabled, restricted email downloading I still reach 22Mb quite easily.

You'll find more information and lots of unhappy customers discussing it here:

I had a call from retentions after putting my PAC request in a couple of days ago - again they confirmed no plans for unlimited usage. The did offer to waive the £8 fee but as I pointed out this was false economy due to the £ per mb I'd be charged on top of that.
