Unlimited Usage ADSL?

Looking to move out this month and need to get a new ADSL supplier.

Currently with BT at my parents house on their "unlimited" package.

BT are currently advertising their "Unlimited Broadband" package, which gives (they claim) totally unlimited broadband (no FUP etc, suspect throttling at peak times though).

£16pm, with 6 months free (on an 18 month contract that works out to ~£10.67pm).

Don't have any LLU providers or fibre / cable - so it has to be ADSL.

Can anyone find anything better / cheaper? *MUST* be unlimited usage.
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

Not a chance! Not unless you want to pay £25-£30 per month.

That price presumably does not include line rental? Might be worth looking at Plusnet packages?

If you have a television subscription you might get better. I think Sky's is about £7.50 if you already have phone and television with them. I was very weary of going with Sky but I've never noticed any drops in speed and buy a lot of digital content online so on a month where I've bought lots of films and games I could well be downloading 10GB a day and I've never had any complaints.

IF the OP has no LLU availability then SKY would be via their dire ADSL Connect offering - don't think you can get unlimited without LLU!

As above - no LLU means Sky aren't an option.

    It's not unlimited though.

Xilo is totally unlimited broadband (see link second from bottom @ £19.16 + VAT) http://www.xilo.net/adsl_broadband/ Although I misread Jakg Requirements regarding non LLU as this uses Talk Talk's LLU. I have moved on to this from BE (Sky's customer service not for me) and has been a rock steady connection with no drop outs.

There is no tie in contract or migration fee either :j

I'm thinking of moving to Xilo and I'm a bit confused about LLU. My local exchange is only enabled for Talk Talk and Sky, does that mean I'd be able to use LLU for Xilo?

Should do. Xilo are just virtual providers. All they do is resell TT BB with their own logo on the front.
Much the same as when you sign up to TT on a non-LLU BT exchange. What you are really getting is a BT Wholesale BB package rebranded as TT.
