Barclays ISA - should I be getting statements?

I took out a Barclays ISA just before the tax year. The two cheques I paid in eventually cleared, and I did get a letter stating that interest was backdated for the first cheque, at least.
However, since then, I've heard absolutely nothing. Should I not be getting a statement of some kind from them? And, if so, how often?

Sorry to bumpt this, but does anyone happen to know the answer?
Thanks.0 -
I wouldnt worry about it, you have the letter saying the interest will be backdated, just give them a call to confirm. They're probably just snowed under trying to process all the ISAs0

From my experience with barclays ISA's, I wouldn't expect to recieve anything useful anytime soon.
I opened my ISA on April 11th but they didn't formally open my account until mid May, they opened the wrong ISA (so I didn't get the Cash Beater one), they never answer their phones and I am still waiting for all of the account bumpf i.e. paying in book etc.
I have made a formal complaint and am waiting for a response which I expect to receive in about 2 months time if I'm lucky.
I've never seen such inefficency and I will never use barclays again.0 -
Has anyone out there had a statement?0

Nope - not me. Aiming to go into my local branch this week to get some kind of assurance that the money is in the account0

I took out a Barclay's Tax Beater ISA in April. I haven't had a statement yet either, but I activated online banking, and can see interested being added to the account there. Do they actually post statements? I thought I was told that they wouldn't.0

You would expect a cash ISA to be yearly or half yearly (depending on transactions).
Have you perhaps considered asking them what the statement date and frequency are? After all, they would know. Not us.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I asked about online banking facilities in my local bank for my ISA and they said I had to have a current account to be able to have the facility!? What a pile of poo...0

They asked me if I wanted to open a Current account. So I did. I've never used it, but it does allow me to see my ISA account on line. SO maybe that's the answer. Open a CA and leave it dormant then you don't need a statement.0
