Dilemma , please advise

Hi

Wondered if i could get some advice , situation is ,our sky plus is knackered , engineer cant attend till 13th August!!

So we are supposed to be completetin on our new house on 30th August , when we go there we intend to keep our BT BB and upgrade to youview through BT and infinity , rather than upgrade here where we are now , we might as well wait until weve moved

Problem is , we have no TV here other than a aerial point inn the kitchen , so have to relocate the sofa! but have no way of recording anything or even pausing

what can i buy to use now , with our standard TV aerial that can do the above , that we can use in our new house in the play room (as will have youview box in main room)

Somewhere i can go to in person would be best , like Argos , any recommedations please ??

Cheers

Why not just use catch-up on a laptop for a month? (Assuming your broadband is not limited).

Buy a YouView box, when you move get a discount off BT.

No idea, why not ask them?
Sky+ boxes are as cheap as chips on Ebay.

Bit confused, you say that you can't record or pause anything - but can you still watch?

If not, can you clear a back log of DVD's or buy a cheap video/get one from freeview and pick up kids videos? Our charity shop sells them for 10p largely? Buy a cheap freeview box or get one from freecycle? Ditto the sky plus box on freecycle.

Given the moving I wouldn't buy anything new until you've spoken to BT and see what they can offer you - and your signal strength too

Just seen that you can add BT Sport to a YouView retail box if you have Infinity.

We have freeview only in the kitchen , so going from the + features to nothing , is tough! so wanted a recrodable machine that could then work in the play room at our new house

But seeing that BT sport cant be recorded on you viiew boxes at the minute i might have to get skyy fixed and take it with us anyway
