I usually start buying bits and bobs by now but have decided to cut down on the amount of small stuff I buy the kids. This year I'm going to put aside the clubcard vouchers I got this week to add to novembers and do it mostly in one go and not spend as much in total either.

I have 4 grown up children, 2 with partners, and 3 grandchildren, so have to plan carefully. Mine goes like this-

Jan, Feb, March, April- birthdays all paid for
May, June, July, August - holidays paid for
Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec - Christmas & New Year paid for

Have stuck to this for 10 years now!

I've bought everything except DD's Santa present, and I've been saving up the pennies all year to cash in come December for Christmas dinner :D

Not started saving but I have started buying bits a pieces as we are always skint and picking up bargains through the year means that people get much better gifts from us :D
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

No buying but save my Tesco points and shopandscan points to spend on the kids xmas presents. Pretty much know what they'll be getting this year, so just need to wait for the money.

I put £50 per month in a savings account and try to only draw from it a couple of times a year - the summer (for holidays) and Christmas. Should have around £400 in there by xmas which will be plenty for presents. My employer may give me a bonus, but its very much up in the air every year so I don't want to rely on it - several years it's been nothing.

I don't so much save especially, but I shop in around October-December attempting to spread the cost a bit, and I usually have a savings pot that's added to each month, so I just end up adding a little less in these months. I don't spend absolutely loads on gifts and things either, just what's comfortable for us and I try to still get people thoughtful things within the budget I've set.

I don't have much to buy and am not "in charge of doing Christmas" i.e. no kids, not responsible for buying presents for the whole big family and don't host the big dinner to shop for and cook, so I don't need to save up much in preparation (I do at least help with doing it all!). If/when I get to the stage of being the one who is in charge of it all, I intend to save up each month specifically for it, and I'll flipping well love doing it all too!

Top money saving tip: don't buy presents for adults.
