    Brains faggots x 6 = £1 ( on offer)

Off cuts of cooked meat - 450g - £1.75. Depends what they have in stock. I've tried pork, chicken, turkey and pastrami. All good. They also do ham, but my son does not like ham so I haven't bought any. Looks nice though. They have other meat for £1 that I haven't fancied -luncheon meat and sliced sausage. Still 450g. All usual price.

They reduce fresh meat by half on the 'sell by date'. I cook it straight away or freeze it.

Each month they seem to do special offers e g last month was Quorn mince and chicken style pieces @ £1 a bag. The offers are on their website.

For a while, Iceland did Internet ordering and I used them then.

They're still doing the Internet food ordering (is that what you meant) or trialing it at least.

All Offers can be seen online now you have to first enter your post-code to see if Iceland can deliver even if they can't you can still see this, might make it easier before heading down to Iceland

I don't get a chance to go to Iceland very often but will make a special journey there at least every 6 weeks or so specifically to buy their Sweet & Sour Chicken (in the red box - £1.50 - for just the chicken pieces and the sauce).

It's not quite takeaway quality but, for the price and convenience, it's absolutely yummy and by far the best thing I've ever had from Iceland.

Some of the other frozen food I've had from them has been a bit bland and tasteless but you can't argue with their prices and I'm always open to trying new things when anyone mentions something they like on these posts. It's one of the things I love most about this site - trying new foods that other people say are good. Doesn't matter if it's just a cheapie frozen food thing, I'll try anything if it's good value and might be nice (and there's nothing wrong with some frozen processed stuff as long as you also eat a decent amount of fresh as well I think).

I buy the large free range eggs at £1 for 6. Best deal on FR eggs around here. Big difference in size compared with the medium sized available at lots of places for same price.

The best jersey royals I had this year came from Iceland.

I remember a time years ago when you could pick up an Icleand catalogue and order from home by telephone.
It was really nice and you could have a chat with the assistant about what was a good buy etc.

Everyone should buy free-range eggs whenever possible! Didn't know that Iceland do 6 large for a pound so that's great news.

Aldi & Lidl both also sell 6 large free-range eggs for a quid.
  • Does anyone know if the Lurpak spreadable 500g is on offer in Iceland.

It's on offer for £2.50 instead of £3 if that helps. Just had a look for you. Might treat OH as he likes lurpak but I find it too expensive.

I haven't been into an Iceland store for about 10 years but my mum passed by one once a few months ago & went in cos there was nothing else around where she was at the time. She bought the salt & pepper grinders & I have to say they are brilliant! & a lot cheaper too than elsewhere! They come in clear plastic & you can take the label off & nobody will know hehe! We had guests over & they commented on them saying how good they worked & asked where they were from. We said Iceland & they thought we meant the country! haha :D

My boyfriend's mum buys stuff there & it is all frozen & unhealthy stuff. My boyfriend gets fed up with it. I prefer shopping at Lidl, Aldi etc.
