On the subject of an end date. I was informed in store this offer is on while stocks last and is has to be the limited edition pack for the offer and not just the plain 24 pack. hth :)

I picked this up today too... love me a sharpie! I bought them with a pink transparent pencil case (marked £1.49 but actually £1.19 at till, and I don't think it's because it was reduced) which they all fit in. £8.18 in total.
Got a 20% off card when I checked out... should have read this thread first! :)

I bought something else there today (I'm still trying to convince myself I don't need this many Sharpies) and my 20% off starts in early September. I do hate it when it happens that you can't use them straight away...

Thank you so much OP. I popped into Smiths last Friday and spent a pound on sweets to see if I'd get a 20% voucher, which I did - for this week. So I went back today and got 3 packs of the sharpies with 1 large clear pencil case at £1.99 and 2 small clear ones at £1.19 each. I used the 20% off voucher and there was a 3 for 2 promotion so the total cost was £17.47. I also got a another 20% voucher for next week.
I was chuffed - 3 packs for less than the full price of 1 - the sales assistant commented on what a good deal it was and I told another customer and lent them my 20% card so they could get the same deal and they were well pleased. This was in the Bedford store - they had plenty of sharpies left.
I'm tempted to buy 3 more sets tomorrow when I go in for the free Lego !

    Hello,

I am not too sure but this might have been stopped. I tried it today with 3 small pencil cases and 3 packs of the pens. However, my total was £25.44. No 3 for 2 came off and the 20% card would not work with the reduced pens. :(

Not sure why you didn't get the same deal as me 3010. I went back in yesterday at 5pm and got the same combination of pencil cases and sharpies as the day before and 2 newspapers for the free Lego and paid a total of £18.67.
My receipts show Promotional Saving -£16.99, Promotional Saving -£10.00, Promotional Saving -£10.00, 20PCTSTATEBKSBTSEW -0.88. At the bottom it says 'You saved £37.87 today'.
In the Bedford store there is a 3 for 2 banner directly above the pencil cases and some of the sharpies packs.

I got the deal today, but the 20% off didn't work on the pens. The lovely cashier spotted this and called her manager to sort it, and he took the discount off manually.

  • Hello,

Just walked past whsmith and the poster was still in the window advertising this offer.
