If you are a Sharpie (Permanent pens) fan, then a great deal to be had at WHSmith at the moment, pack of 24 Sharpie pens for £6.99 when you buy any pencil case (cheapest case at my branch £1.49). Usually £16.99-19.99. Lovely pens, good deal.

Thanks - went today but only saw 3 for 2 as an offer - my wife took pencil case and Sharpies to till, and the deduction worked - some staff knew about it as an offer.

Thanks so much for this. Went to the Birmingham branch & they had this offer on. Looked at the pencil cases & managed to get a gorgeous Liberty Hello Kitty case very similar to this http://www.happybags.co.uk/pencil-cases/hello-kitty-liberty-london-large-pencil-case.html marked down to £1.75 & it worked!

thanks for this, went in store today and found this (http://www.whsmith.co.uk/Products/Laura-Ashley-Pencil-Case+Stationery+35332145) lovely Laura Ashley pencil case marked at £2.99 and it worked with the sharpies. perfect for anyone who doesn't really need a pencil case as would make a great make up bag which I intend to use it as. thanks again

These are the pens. It took me a while to find them this morning. They were in a display box with lots of different pencil cases.
