well ladies I am off to London tonight then the USA tomorrow, not really looking forward to an 11 hour flight:eek:I have to wear strong flight socks which are not the most comfortable attire!Taking serum and face mist on board to keep hydrated and no doubt will be treating myself to a facial once there:)
booked a dinner on the Napa valley wine train last night, looks very romantic:),you get a glass of wine with dinner but then at checkout they tried to sell us another 2 glasses each(plus free wine tasting!) then mention you can stand on the outside viewing area!!!!sounds a bit dangerous to me:eek:
hope everyone is well,do try and be good whilst I am away and as the song goes "see you in September":)

    38. Nivea Double Effect APD 150ml - WBA.

Rosemary - enjoy the States, your trip to Napa sounds wonderful!

I'm heading off on my hols after work tonight so will duck out for August and see you all in September, by which time I should hopefully have no INs and plenty of UUs :)

We were Team Amelia, and we're all pretty pleased with our time! We were all novices and several teams were all men whereas we were about 1/3 women, not to do us women down obviously but that does make a difference in this kind of event.

It was amazing, we're all up for it again next year and will hopefully smash our time!!! :D

oh they certainly do... take an extra (empty) suitcase and a clear credit card would be my advice ;)

    Some UU:
    1. Johnsons Baby Shampoo 200ml - used up a few bits whilst staying with my parents, a leftover from my brothers recent trip with my little niece. Probably WNBA for myself, as my hair felt a little dry after using it.
    2. Balance Me Moisture Rich Face Cream 20ml - freebie with Glamour recently... I must be really dry as I found this not moisturising enough! WNBA

    IN:
    1. Dove Limited Edition Beauty Blossom Cream 150ml - I think I just felt like buying something, lol!

    Xxx
  • Hope everyone has lovely holidays.

    UU

Radox coconut kiss shower gel - WMBA didnt wow me but did the job.

Rodial 5 minute facial face mask - WBA I like the way this makes my skin feel but find the sachet size of 1ml very skimpy.

Sample Lancome hypnose senses - WNBA found the fragrance too strong for my taste.

  • One more UU to report for August -

Montagne Jeunesse Skin Polisher Face mask. WMBA It left my skin feel lovely and smooth and exfoliated, but it was meant to be a hydrating mask but still left my face a bit dry. That could be due to the length of time I've had the sachet though!

Question for you all though - these sachets always have enough in for more than one use and I just end up using more than necessary just to try to use it up. Do any of you just decant half of it to use later? This didn't occur to me until it was to late, and I just wondered if anyone else did this?

*sends love and hugs to you all*

Thanks Parisian! Did I read that you'd graduated on here? :j:j:j

    I have some updates!

Continuing the make-up clearout of things that have gone off or that I don't use any more so GA/TA....

No7 Smoky Eyeliner 4ml Gunmetal - Never did work out how to use this!
No7 Stay perfect eye liner 3ml Sapphire and No7 Stay perfect eye liner 3ml Sea - Both very good but had gone off
Bare Minerals Eye shadow 0.57g Alive - Never used, not my colour (came in a set)
MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 28 and Shade 29 - No longer suit me
Barbara Daly Souffle Foundation 20ml Soft buff - Never really used, tad too dark and heavy for my skin
The Body Shop Natural Lip Roll On Orange 10ml Orange - unopened, had a mint one and thought it was pants!
Lancôme Doll Eyes 6.5ml Black - Used most of this but had a suspicion for some time that it had gone off, so I chucked it!

Exchange - No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation - A continuation in the No7 match made foundation debacle, I've faffed around more thanks to that flaming camera skin match service than usual, I took back Soft Rose, then Calico and said to the assistant that the camera thing obviously wasn't going to work for me so could I try the two that I thought were right i.e. get them put on my face this time, we tried my picks of cool ivory and cool vanilla and it just shows you....the two I tried were so good on my face that I could have worn either, and there was hardly any line down the centre of my face (she did one on the left and one on the right), got Cool Ivory as it was ever so slightly darker.

My advice then is to take this with a pinch of salt and always get them to put the foundation on your face before buying!

    Other GA/TAs

    3 x Lacura Travel wipes (25s)
Soltan Invisible Spray SPF 30 75ml
    - Can't find this, probably threw it out as it's rubbish!
Tigi Control freak serum 250ml - Good serum in its time but had suspicions it had gone off as it no longer did anything for my hair and had been open well over a year (possibly 3 years), judging by the Aussie one I'm now using, the Tigi one had gone off a while ago! No idea why they put it in such a huge bottle!

    UUs

Johnson's Extra dry baby powder 425g - Very good, talcum powder brings me out in a sweat rash so I can only use this or the Femfresh one which is much more expensive and never on offer
Soap & Glory Clean On Me Body Wash 500ml - Very nice but I think I've overused S&G and have got pretty bored of it!
    Johnson's Baby Oil 500ml - HG product
Burt's Bees Mango & Orange Sugar Scrub 225g - WNBA, nice scrub but terrible VFM!
No 7 Beautiful skin cleansing water 200ml - Have more in stash, I use this as a brush cleaner and a cleanser, though it leaves my skin feeling weird so I use a wipe afterwards and harmony is restored!
No 7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner 200ml - WBA once my stash is down, I don't need to be buying toners atm!
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo 250ml - Very good shampoo, slightly prefer the brilliant shine one though!

INs (Had MOCs + they were on offer)
Sanex Roll on Deo 50ml - Invisible
Sanex Roll on Deo 50ml - Sensitive

Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Foam - Black Velvet Crush x 2 - Saw these on clearance in Sainsbob's for £1.50, clearance colours are usually only ones that are of no use to me (I only do black, darkest brown and purple) so it was great to see some I can use for once! :money:

    NBIs

From my hotel in Bournemouth, 2 x Verdi Lime & Lemongrass shower gel 25ml and 2 x Verdi soap 15g

I also bought the new Marie Claire....

    Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus 7ml
    Clarins Double Serum 1ml
    Eucerin Hydrating Care 1.5ml
    Eucerin Cleanser 1.5ml

Also it had some perfume samples, one of Armani Si, which is now on my wishlist, one of a D&G one, beware of the stupidest every packaging of a sample, had to take this cardboard sachet sort of thing apart to work it out and it spilt all over my hands , also another Estee Lauder perfume which I've yet to try.
