Hi All,
Im looking at moving at relatively soon with my partner and i want to roughly try and work out the cost of all the outgoings such as mortgage, council tax, Gas, Electric.
What other things are there to consider? and how much would they come to for 2 people in a 3 bedroom house.
Any help would be amazing.
thanks.

Water-rates if the property isn't metered, possibly in the region of £40 a month.
TV license: £12 a month
Internet: ?
Cable or satellite TV: ?
Apart from the usual expenses you should budget for stashing away a sensible sum for unexpected things like the boiler blowing up in the middle of winter as well as running repairs and the usual maintenance.
The best people to advise you are the ones you are currently living with as they know how many baths you take and how much laundry you do.0 -

I'm confused, you're moving soon but you don't know how much your mortgage repayments will be? Do you have a mortgage secured? Sounds like you're just talking like renting so confused.
Council tax depends on band (A cheapest). Utilities how long is a piece of string. But don't forget water (in and out), Internet, tv license, insurance etc.0 -
Mortgage will be in the region of 750 a month. Havent found a house yet so that mortgage value is unknown.

My partner and I currently rent a 3 bedroom terrace. Our outgoings are:
£23pcm for water
£100pcm for Gas & Electric
£30pcm (roughly) for unlimited fibre broadband & phoneline (virgin)
£250pcm for food (includes packed lunches for both of us)
£9.60pcm for contents insurance. (Don't forget you'll have to pay buildings insurance too)
£50pcm for our mobile contracts. This is for both of us.
You could easily get internet and a phoneline for about £15 a month depending on what you want. We went for the best package because we're online so much but if you only use it occasionally you could easily go for a basic package.
ETA: Don't forget things like travel expenses, car insurance, pet insurance, vets bills etc. We pay £20pcm for pet insurance, £10pcm for dog food and £125pcm for travel expenses.0
