Hi ,just a quick question ,i got a 18month contract with vodaphone in November and changed my phone from a galaxy s to a galaxy s11.
When i got home there was no signal ,and i havent had one at home since i have to go to another small town 3 miles away to get a signal.
Is there anything i can do about this?

Was your signal OK when you was using the galaxy s?
If so then it could be the Galaxy S2 signal not very good
You could just ring Vodafone and ask if there is a problem with there mask near you
If every thing was OK till you got home then its the mask gone down or your second phone signal not very good
You could also ask Voda to cancel your contract but they will probable ask for the remanding sum outstanding on the contract
They may even give you a good will gesture and re-juice your monthly payments
You really need to talk to them.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -

The offcom sitefinder site is handy to see what local masts you have http://sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/search0

They are a bigger company the second biggest after EE
Second biggest perhaps in terms of staff, but down in South West England their reception is shockingly bad. I travel around a bit and I regularly find myself either with Edge or in some cases no reception at all. Their 3G reception is rubbish.0 -

I understand were you are coming from but Voda are still one of the biggest company's in the world not just UK
I think you will find all the networks are the same its just some are good were you live and some bad
Like were i live Vodafone rubbish, 3 is the best and then EE
What you should do is get some Pay&Go Sims from different networks and see which one as got the best signal that way you don't get no surprises
If you go onto the different networks websites you can order Sims for free.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -

I used to be with Vodafone 6-7 years ago, which is why I went back to them.. Back then they were the number 1 for coverage in the UK.. Foolishly I guess I expected them to still be good in the areas where they used to be good, but no.. Im still living in the same city and the signal here has dropped alot since I was last with them.. (this was probably while they only had 2g coverage, so might explain things, but).
I came from EE (T-mobile), they have always been good, the same goes for 3, I would say o2 comes third.. (I`ve used all 3 since leaving Vodafone 6-7 years ago).0 -
Move?
Your replacement phone will have a different sensitivity and if at the lowest end of the spec, will not see base stations unless close by. Get them to check the phone with a spectrum analyser.0 -

Hi redginger,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
For further help with network related queries I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps in the Network Issues thread on our eForum.
Although I can't provide you with a link to it due to the posting guidelines which company representatives are obliged to follow, you'll find the thread in the eForum's Network Updates section.
If you come across a thread where your area has already been mentioned could you post a link to the thread so I can chase things up?
If you'd like to discuss your account further, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee
