T-Mobile Anytime 30 Extra -£4/month good or not ??

I am with T-Mobile on Anytime 30 Extra plan which includes 30min/month to landline numbers.

I have been on this plan for years carried over from One2One.

I have been paying £4/month for last year on retention deal, but that has expired & is due to go back to £14/month. I will try to renew deal.

I don't use the phone much & rarely use the 30min/month allowance.

1) Is anyone else on this plan & what do you pay ??
2) Does £4/month sound good deal ??

Like you, I was with 121 for many years on their Anytime 100 plan. Last year as a retention deal they cut it by £10/mth, which brought it down to £7.50/month. I now tend to use the mobile more often, and have decided to terminate my contract and went to 3 instead as their price plans are more competitive. Also, T-mobile was only offering a £5 off retention deal this time round if I extended my plan for another year. £12.50/mth for 100 minutes is quite expensive as 3 offered 500 minutes for £2.50/mth more.
It all boils down to how much you use your mobile, I guess. If it's only for emergencies and incoming calls, then might as well get a PAYG sim card and save yourself £48/year.

I don't want to get rid, as it's my contract phone with phone number people have. I've got other PAYG SIM cards.

I'm happy to keep deal at £4/month, but have to consider if they want to increase to £14/month as calls are getting expensive.

    30min/£4 = 13p/min
    30min/£14 = 47p/min

    Hi,

Even if you use all your minutes you are spending 13p a minute. If you do not use them all you are spending more than that.

The question is are you calling mobiles or landlines? If you are calling landlines then I'm sure you can get a better deal on PAYG. If you are calling mobiles then for a less than a tenner mobile spend you may end up spending more on PAYG.

Saying that I think the Tesco Value Sim will allow calls to landlines or mobiles for 15p a minute. The only problem is that it will not allow you to receive MMS. Also is your phone unlocked? If it is a Nokia you can probably get it unlocked for free.

Just renewed my Anytime 30 Extra plan at £4/month.

    They agreed to renew straightaway.
