They must have all had deliveries this morning then.
It might be worth the OP checking their own area again.0 -

Do they not wash in the north?
You need a tumble dryer to wash? You're doing it wrong.....You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
As a cautionary warning (although it's possible I am the only person who didn't already know this
) I ordered a new shower screen from Argos last weekend. It said free delivery so I chose that because the item was quite heavy and also glass so I thought it would be easier to have it delivered.
So I got up early and waited in all day (website stated delivery anytime between 7am and 6pm). At 4.10pm I saw an Argos lorry go past the end of my road. I thought maybe they had another delivery to do locally then come back, but this didn't happen.
At 5.55pm a plain white van turned up and I saw the driver come up my path with a large package so I opened the door and he dumped it down in my hall upside down (according to the large 'Fragile, this way up sticker') and it turned out to be delivered by Yodel:eek:
If Argos are using Yodel for deliveries now, I guess that's another company I can cross off my list that I won't be using again :mad:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

They can charge whatever they live for products and I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong with covering the cost of postage in the price of item - a lot of people do this - but perhaps it is a bit disingenuous when they have one without postage that is blatantly cheaper - and I think the price difference is perhaps something more to worry about.0

I think this needs an expert in retail law.
I was watching a program the other day called something like 'Your Money Their Tricks'. And from what the expert on there said, it is possible that Argos are breaking the law.
It might be worth contacting trading standards.0 -

They have always used Yodel.
i think for some larger items they might do it themselves, but most are done via yodel.
When i bough a freezer, it came on an argos lorry, but everything else i've bought from them has come via Yodel.
Im pretty sure they are psychic. If i wait in all day, they will always deliver really late, but if i ever go out you can be pretty sure they will come when your own0 -

thats been my experience, but i guess it could depend on areajackieblack wrote: »I suppose, given that it was Yodel, I should just be glad that it was delivered to the right address on the right day and wasn't just lobbed over the gate to sit in a puddle!
yeah i've been pretty lucky that everything has actually turned up, althou i usually pay the extra for saturday deliveries as i work mon-fri, so maybe they are slightly better on saturdays0 -
