I'd expect anything to last more than 2 years, if treated well.
17" screens tend to be heavy.and have no problems karting a 17" around as though it were a netbook. :rotfl: So I take it everywhere I go, office, outings, holidays even came with me on my honeymoon!
And if I am honest I don't really treat my machines with all the respect that they deserve. Too many times I have used mine as a table for my lunch or as a sturdy base for a pillow when kicking back in the park while its pumping out some tunes...
To me 2 years of heavy daily outdoor use when coupled with a bit of mistreatment seems like a good run!!!
Actually, I have just seen the receipt and I have had it for closer to 3 years so...

Toshiba are pretty well built devices and I have never had any issues with reliability, how much are you willing to spend?
Thanks, I have never owned a Toshiba laptop before so that is good to know. I don't really want to spend more than £500 As I spent £369 on the G72 and that performed to my needs adequately.
I should probably mention that I would purchase the laptop using amazon gift vouchers issued by Topcashback making the cost of laptop the £369.40 actually.
If that helps with any comparision you might want to make.0 -

They are Toshiba warranties and insurance.0 -

If it suits your usage pattern. Not sure how it would hold up to rough usage. But I have an older Toshiba Satellite, well travelled and more than four years old. That has lived through harsh climates and is still here to tell the tale. But not all the members of the family will have the same constitution, so I can't say anything about that individual model. Other than the extended warranty may prove useful in your case.0
