he liked a big house too..one room for himself, and all the other rooms for his gardening hobby...0 -

If your LL is charging you £500pm for a house with large holes in the roof, no working boiler and bare brick walls, it rather sounds like you're being ripped off.The roof has skylight windows, of which both have fell through. Th eboiler hasn't worked since January....yes it was cold.
A lot of the walls have no plaster and mold is setting in..................

If the OP rented a perfectly sound house 15 years ago and never informed the LL about holes in the roof, potential damp issues and boiler malfunction then the T has not acted in a tenant-like manner either. Admittedly the LL should have checked on his property *slightly* more regularly but if the OP has allowed the problems to get worse instead of giving the LL the opportunity to fix them then it's not entirely the LL's fault.0 -
