I haven't been to Ibiza for a few years, but we always liked Es Cana, which is near Santa Eulalia

Es Cana was lively, without being rowdy, and was good for all age groups.

The La Cala is a nice hotel, but located on a busy street in the town centre, so personally, that would put me off. The Grupotel is also nice, but again, the location would put me off as it is quite a long walk into Santa Eulalia and is not really near a beach. Both of those hotels are half board so the Club Siesta is a really good price for all-inclusive. It is a small, really friendly hotel and I can really recommend it. Es Cana is a popular resort with Brits, but again, by the end of October it is shutting up. Did you price up the Tres Torres and Riomar? We are actually staying at the Tres Torres in October as the price was too good to miss!

    Thanks for your replies.
Ibizafan I looked at the Riomar and it is £317 h/b.It looks like a great position but I wasn't sure about the hotel.Although the lady I spoke to at work is returning to it this year. She said it was basic and the foo was alright but the position was great.
The Tres torres is £346 h/b. I'll have a look at the reviews.

We met some people in June who were staying at the Riomar and showed us their sea view room. The view was amazing! The room itself was basic, with no T.V etc but was very clean and spacious. They said that the food wasn't the best, but they loved the hotel overall, and the price means that you can eat out some evenings. We are looking forward to the Tres Torres, but again, you need to pay the extra for a sea view which is great. The reviews are mixed, but mainly positive. Look at the Tres Torres website to get better photos of the hotel. We will be back to the Club Siesta next June as usual, but we didn't want all-inclusive in October otherwise we would have gone there, although we will be making frequent visits as my parents will be there.

Be like us and take a punt on the Tres Torres! I have been going to Santa Eulalia every year for the last eleven years (thirteen years in Ibiza!) and wouldn't have booked it if I had any doubts. Just know you will love the town.
  • Ibizafan - I see your still extolling the virtues of SA.

Totally agree with everything ibizafan has said. Weather will likely be a bit mixed, warm in the days but chillier in the evenings, chance of rain.

The island will be fairly quiet at that time of year which is an advantage.

Some of the more tourist focused bars and restaurants will have closed down for the winter but the better ones will still be open.

The only slight disagreement I have with ibizafan is the Gruphotel. My wife and I got married in SA and I stayed there for a couple of nights prior to the wedding and we both stayed there for about 5 nights after. We really enjoyed it there and whilst it is a bit of a walk into town it's only about 10 minute stroll, on the level, with sea views most of the way.

When you get there, the church on top of the hill, overlooking the town is where we got married.

Hiya again Mark. I see what you mean about the Gruphotel, but still think there's equally good hotels right in town! One thing Santa Eulalia has is a good choice of accomodation for all budgets.
