Brilliant these German cars, aren't they...
If only everything in life etc.....
great demonstration of brand power and a good marketing campaign.
In defence of Herr Car-Maker though my 1995 C-Class panzerwagon doesn't use a drop of the liquid gold. (and no it ain't rusty either hah)What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
After looking into it, the dealership told me that the brake discs were warped (mileage is at 13,000 at this point) and that it was a wear and tear issue
http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/-warped-brake-disc-and-other-mythsIn more than 40 years of professional racing, including the Shelby/Ford GT 40s – one of the most intense brake development program in history - I have never seen a warped brake disc.
In fact every case of "warped brake disc" that I have investigated, whether on a racing car or a street car, has turned out to be friction pad material transferred unevenly to the surface of the disc.

In that case the OP needs to be going back to VW and arguing if they are warped (and they could be) that this is a manufacturing fault and would have been there at the time the car was manufactured and thus an inherent fault at time of sale.0
