YES that's what pays our insurance /petrol. when people put just letters I struggle to work out what they stand for. do you think we would be better off getting a mobility car?

Mobility cars are currently being handed back by the 1000's. People are buying their own because PIP will start in 2015 which will reduce the number of claimants by the 10's of thousands.

Just handed mine back and bought my own vehicle.

I can calculate the benefits I believe they are entitled to.
This does not mean that the benefit system will find the same entitlement.

I believe, based on my understanding of my condition, for example, that I am legally entitled to:
    ESA support group. £107
    DLA medium rate care. £53
    DLA high rate mobility. £55
Severe disability premium for ESA. £59
Enhanced disability premium for ESA. £15

    Or £289/week.

This would enable me to employ a carer, and to concentrate on getting started on permitted work, moving into actual work.

In reality, I am getting - after exhausting the appeal process - £142.
(low rate DLA plus WRAG ESA).

This is meaning that while not struggling, I have no spare cash to employ a carer or to buy services to cover my increased costs of getting the above mentioned business up and running.

Specifically - I have extremely limited energy. Doing routine household tasks - hoovering, cooking, washing up and similar tires me to the point where I have no energy left over for attempting to get started with a business. 'Living in squalor' is not a pleasant phrase to read on a report.
Admittedly - I unusually bad that month - but not _that_ much worse than normal.

(Yes, the above doesn't count warm home payment, which helps slightly with my uninsulated homes heating costs, or council tax support. )
