Help required with Vodafone Germany

Help required with Vodafone Germany -

I am a serving British soldier and returned from Germany in Apr 2013. During my time in Germany I had 2 mobile phones with 2 years contract for my self and my wife, the Vodafone shop in Mönchengladbach informed us at the start of our contract that if we where posted early the contracts would be cancelled at nil cost and no cancellation fees,if we provided a assignment order (we have a email to confirm this). Due to a compassionate reason we where posted back to the UK in Apr.

Last month we have received a letter from Vodafone HQ Germany stating they wanted 1600 euros and would not honour the information that the Mönchengladbach shop informed us as this was not Vodafone policy and they where going to pass this on to debtcollectorsin the UK.

Has anyone got any advice on this?

I am the official company representative of Vodafone. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"
  • If you haven't already, I would speak to Army Legal. We've just had a similar problem with Vodafone and it's now in Army Legal's hands. Vodafone keep them very busy, I believe. I will never go anywhere near them again and would convince others not to also. They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I've no idea how they get away with what they do, it's theft

    Hi ChuckieD,

    I'm sorry to see this.

If you'd like any help from me could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?

Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

    Lee

Can you let me know how you get on so far? I am German and know the law there. Its basically easy, provided you have a witness when you were in the shop that they promised you that? Let me know if you still need help and send me a private message.
